New signings to the legendary Wall Of Sound Records, the independent label that brought the world Royksopp, Propellerheads and Stuart Price’s Les Rythmes Digitales amongst many others, they’ll be releasing their debut WoS single early in the new year. They’ve also recorded most of their debut album, provisionally entitled ‘Sleaze & Grit’, and are all set to tour these releases extensively.
It’s in the live arena that Killaflaw really come alive. Singer Benn Helm’s incredibly powerful, bluesy voice and uplifting electric guitar soar over the top of Andy Paton’s beats, bleeps and electro riffs, a sound that has seen them play festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival, Beatherder, Secret Garden, Glade and have played dates in Moscow, Kazantip Republic in Ukraine, Turkey and a tour in Germany and Czech Republic.

“I’m totally feeling ‘em.”

– Liam Howlett, The Prodigy

“Killaflaw would be equally at home at Download as they would at Creamfields. Benn has a voice that would blow a stadium away, as well as any club.”

– Eddy Temple-Morris, Xfm

“Killaflaw have the passion, the soul, the raw power and the tunes. They’re gonna be massive.”

– DJ Magazine

Killaflaw have been likened to a number of acts – “like Led Zep meet the Chemical Brothers”, “the missing link between Soundgarden and The Prodigy” – but really they have a sound that is uniquely their own. Named after a track by legendary bluesman Howlin’ Wolf, Killaflaw inhabit the electronic/rock interzone. They’re from Liverpool, and consist of Benn Helm (vocals, guitar) and Andy Paton (electronics).
